About

Perdita Plants is a passion project driven by Teghan Collingwood. The aim is to provide high quality, fit for purpose plant presses for field ecologists and botanists - at a reasonable price. After years working in the industry and watching all her botany friends cobble together make-shift plant presses, Teghan decided to design her own. After sharing these with friends and getting great feedback, Perdita Plants was born. The plant press design has been through a few iterations, initially based on the style used by the Queensland Herbarium, but has been steadily refined for the most practical field experience possible.

Small batches are lovingly hand crafted in our workshop in Southeast Queensland. At a glance, they may appear simple to make, but a small batch of 10 can take over 3 days of labour! We strive to use sustainable, recyclable (or upcycled!) and biodegradable materials where possible and practical. We are truly humbled by the support received so far, and hope you love your Perdita Plant Press for many years to come!

Happy PRESSING!
